A few days back, I came across a podcast done by STRATEGY SKILLS with the CEO advisor Mr.Ram Charan, in which they were talking about things that make Amazon the best in the business.
Mr.Ram Charan mentioned a few things about Amazons Recruiting Procedures, he describes that before any selection of a candidate, he or she has to clear the BAR RAISERS Interview. BAR RAISERS are special recruiters who have been trained for selecting only those people who have capabilities to raise the bar for themselves and for the company in the long term. So on, that they have the final Vito power in the selection of the Candidate.
This practice, I believe, amongst many others, is what makes Amazon “Amazon“.
